Thermal Layer

Land

We prioritize brownfield, industrial, and edge locations to site our campuses responsibly while minimizing disruption to surrounding communities. By repurposing underutilized land and building within established industrial corridors, we minimize environmental impact, limit strain on residential areas, and accelerate development timelines.

Our disciplined land development approach includes comprehensive site evaluation, infrastructure planning, and entitlement strategy to ensure each location is optimized for power generation, scalability, and long-term performance.

Cooling Systems

Our closed-loop liquid immersion cooling systems deliver redundant and efficient cooling that operates reliably, minimizing strain on water resources and mitigating noise while ensuring continuous performance for mission critical workloads. This approach supports the needs of high-density compute and dramatically reduces strain on local water infrastructure while ensuring long-term sustainability, even in regions facing water-resource constraints.

Benefits

  • Minimal water usage
  • No wastewater discharge
  • Reduced noise
  • Redundancy

Electrical Layer

Power Generation, Distribution and Storage

Power is the defining constraint of modern infrastructure, and is also the starting point for every Strata Expanse campus. Strata Expanse delivers redundant energy systems engineered for resilience, independence, and scalability. Our model includes substations, onsite generation, energy storage, and distribution designed to operate efficiently while minimizing reliance on constrained grids. Our facilities are grid-aware, but not grid-dependent.

Campuses may include a site-appropriate mix of energy sources and storage including:

  • Natural gas turbines or reciprocating engines
  • Fuel cell systems
  • Solar
  • Wind (where viable)
  • Geothermal
  • Other site-appropriate renewable resources
  • Hydrogen-ready systems
  • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
  • Thermal storage

Benefits

  • Speed to deployment
  • Scalability
  • Balance supply and demand
  • Operational resiliency

Signal Layer

Secure Connectivity

Our campuses feature a secure, resilient connectivity architecture that integrates diverse fiber routes, wireless infrastructure, and satellite capabilities into a unified network framework. Designed to eliminate single points of failure, the system delivers low-latency, high-performance data flow with embedded, layered security at its core. This approach protects critical infrastructure, strengthens network integrity, and ensures reliable, scalable interconnection between compute, power, and communications systems.

Benefits

  • Low-latency connectivity
  • Continuity of service
  • Security
  • Reliability
